North Shore-South Shore/Beach Family Session

Many years back I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing North Shore family.

Their baby girl was just adopted and this family was bursting with love and joy for their new addition. I met the mom through a friend and shortly thereafter she asked me to photograph her little girl. This was no ordinary little girl either. She was not only super sweet, but one of the most beautiful little girls I had ever seen. She had the brightest, most expressive eyes, the happiest smile and the most loving disposition.

Over the next few years I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph them a few times, watch them grow and get to know them even better.

This past summer was our last photo session. Lucky for me this family has a fabulous beach place on the South Shore of Long Island pretty close to where I have mine. We decided to have this session on the beach to change up where were last, but also to embrace the place this family loves to visit each summer and calls their home away from home. The day was just perfect!! Everyone was dressed to kill, the sun was shining and the beach we shot at was just so pretty with the most amazing backdrop for a session.

With big smiles in hand, very cooperative, well mannered and playful boys who absolutely adore their sister, a spunky, spirited and breathtaking little girl and a good looking couple, how could we go wrong.? What an amazing session. Lucky for me, I not only got to do what I love to do, but the evening even ended with my favorite dessert, home made ice-cream from a local shop!! What a fun night in was!!

75 Degrees in March | Tween Photo Session

What happens when the snow just melts, its March, and you wake up to a 75 degree day?
You run outside in shorts and flip flops and go crazy! These 2 adorable tween girls did just that. Shortly after waking up, they quickly got dressed , ran outside and were so overjoyed to feel the warmth on their faces after a recent snow storm and a streak of cold weather. It was the best surprise for a weekend in March! As a momtographer, with a gorgeous sunny day in hand , I of course had to grab my camera and go right after them. I didn’t want to forget their big smiles, spunk and energy . Most importantly, I wanted to capture and remember the joy in their faces.

For me, the best part of this day was it reminded me what I love to do most , which is save and persevere a moment by photographing it. Their smiles were contagious, their spirits were soaring and and I felt blessed to have this opportunity to get great pics of these very adorable friends!

The Power of Social Media | A Family Photo Session

Social Media most certainly plays an important role for my business. My best example of this to date was last, when a mom from my school district asked on our district Facebook page if anyone knew of a local photographer they would recommend for her family of 4.

Within just a few hours, the feed was flooded with recommendations of Gail Singer Photography and I was blushing with pride to say the least!!! To actually read a dozen or so unsolicited responses from so many local parents was so amazing, inspiring and very humbling. To read from one past client that “ I am no question about it, the best”, that I am sweet, kind and have lots of patience with great ideas was just so powerful to read. The best part of it this dialog was when that sentiment got dittoed by so many. My spirit was soaring and I was so happy beyond anything I could ever imagine. While I have confidence in my work, as an artist, its easy to find fault in what we do. After reading all these incredible and kind words, it was a matter of days before Andrea and I spoke about a booking her family session.

I did not meet her or her family in person until the day of our session. We did speak beforehand and I knew I was meeting up with a sweet lady, but the rest of her family was just as sweet. Not only are they all super adorable, but down to earth and fall of love for one another. The kids aged 10 mos and 4.5 years did not disappoint either. They were both so cooperative, playful, full of smiles and lots of energy. How could I go wrong???
